Looking for that island taste to have you dreaming that you were in the tropics? Now is your chance, Aruba Steve’s Island Grill, an authentic tropical themed restaurant and bar, is opening its second location in Warren, Rhode Island. Step inside the colorful pub located on Main Street to try their delicious Mahi-Bites or to cool off with a margarita. With live music three times a week, trivia night, and karaoke, this will be your favorite place to bring your friends and family when dining out.
Owner Steve Correa, grew up in the Caribbean where his father is from the Netherlands Antilles and his mother is American. Throughout his childhood of growing up in Curacao, he developed the sweet taste for Caribbean food.
In determining who their target audience was, Correa said it was a simple choice. “Young professionals and just the average American families. With being a family-friendly, full restaurant, we are hoping to get people from Barrington and Bristol, Rehoboth, Swansea, Providence, wherever, to check us out,” Correa stated.
Aruba Steve’s drink menu has a history behind each cocktail that has to do with the Caribbean. The menu changes week by week but the staple items on the menu will never change. Besides the Mahi-Bites, items like Pulled Pork Pizza and Fried Fish Sliders are a sample of what they have to offer. If you ask Steve, he highly recommends you try their ribs.
The Aruba Steve’s upstairs bar is currently open 4pm on and their function room is ready to take reservations. Be on the lookout for their grand opening in early February to be whisked away to their island of paradise.
